The Texas State Florists' Association (TSFA) represents all branches of the floral industry throughout the state, with members across the U.S. among our floral community! Those wanting to further develop their floral design skills and advance their careers may be interested in TSFA's Texas Master Florists Program. Seven online classes and three hands-on sessions are offered throughout the year.

Texas Floral Endowment Scholarships Provide $7,100 in Funding for Floral Education

LEANDER, TEXAS (May 31, 2024) — The Texas Floral Endowment (TFE) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2024 TFE Scholarship recipients, who will be recognized at the Texas Floral Forum in San Antonio on June 21-23. Totaling $7,100, the 13 scholarships will help increase access to educational opportunities for floral industry professionals throughout the state.

TSFA's Knowledge-Based, Level 1 and Level 2 floral certifications are included on the 2022-2025 TEA-approved list of industry certifications. Virtual testing is now available for hands-on Level 1 certification.

TSFA has developed a platform that allows students to take the Level 1 floral certification test in the classroom, proctored by the floral design teacher. This platform is similar to the in-person testing application, however, the floral design teacher can schedule the testing date, proctor the test in the classroom and upload the photos using any smartphone or device. The student’s designs will then be graded by TSFA Education Specialists, using the 2020 rubrics located below. Register your students for the certification test today.

TEXAS in Bloom provides useful articles on a variety of floral related subjects. This monthly publication presents new ideas on ways to make your business more successful, keeps you up to date on issues of concern to the industry and highlights upcoming events. The magazine is mailed to all TSFA members monthly, except in July. The TSFA Membership Directory, published in July, contains information on events, a membership roster and lists of officers, directors and committees. Manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, growers and service organizations may contract to place advertising in TEXAS in Bloom.

The Membership Directory, published in the summer each year, is distributed to all TSFA members.

TEXAS in Bloom is mailed on or around the first of every month.
